Eve and Suki Panesar are set to tie the knot on New Year’s Day – but the pair are unaware that Suki’s ex-husband Nish is lurking in the shadows, threatening to ruin their plans.
Speaking about the upcoming nuptials, Peace revealed the hidden details behind Eve’s “fairytale” wedding suit that have lent into the character’s personality.
“We worked really closely, myself and Balvinder [Sopal, who plays Suki], with design and all of the wardrobe department. It was a real collaborative project,” she explained.

“Eve’s outfit; she would always wear a suit, but Suki’s outfit was so stunning that we felt we had to up it a little bit with some sparkles. We wanted it to look like a fairytale, and I think that the costume department absolutely excelled with that.”
“I wanted to stay within the world of Eve with the trousers and the flat shoes, but a slight little feminine twist with the halter neck underneath the jacket. I was really pleased with it,” Peace continued.
“I wanted a feather in my lapel to match the colour of Suki’s dress, and costume found a little peacock feather and it was absolutely perfect. If you look up peacock feathers, they have all sorts of references that we really felt resonated with Suki and Eve.”

The actor praised the soap for depicting the love story that “resonates with all people regardless of gender, race, religion and sexuality”.
“It’s about love. Connection. It’s about meeting your person,” she continued. “And for @bbceastenders to allow the space for this story to evolve has been quite something.
“It’s happened in real time. And as an actor who has never been involved in soap, long term, it’s been the thing that I take away as what’s precious about the genre.”
