It’s the end of an era in upcoming EastEnders episodes next week, as Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) contemplates her future away from Walford.

It comes after a mystery visitor prompts her to consider a decision that will change her life, but will she go through with it?

With Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) supporting her, it’s crunch time for Sonia.

Elsewhere, Lily (Lillia Turner) is out of control and Jean (Gillian Wright) struggles to cope with her behaviour.

And, after a discovery, Lily then flees. Can anyone get through to her?

Monday April 14

Outside No.25, Mo and Kim find themselves on the receiving end of Sonia’s wrath after they bring a tour of true-crime fans to her door. Sonia rants to Bex, blaming Bianca’s interview for the increased interest, but the pair are unaware that a man from the tour remains fixated on No.25.

Later, Bianca returns home to face the music having been turfed out of Alfie and Kat’s flat, but Sonia orders her to leave. Later, Bex encourages Sonia to take a sympathetic view, and Sonia comes to Bianca’s rescue after she experiences a panic attack in the Square Gardens while being accosted by ‘fans’.

After making amends, Sonia and Bianca head to Harry’s Barn for a drink, but Bianca is spooked when she believes an overzealous fan is watching them and chases him to the playground where his identity is revealed.

After dismissing Bianca’s pleas, the mystery man arrives at No.25 to request an audience with Sonia…

At No.31, Jean struggles to discipline Lily as Stacey is consumed by grief. Lily heads to the Square Gardens to smoke weed with Avani and later resorts to underhand measures when Avani requests payment.

Elsewhere, Harvey heads to the bap van to encourage Jean to make amends with Lily, but the pair are shocked to make a discovery. In the café, Bex is horrified to discover Lily’s actions.

Back at No.31, Lily returns home to face the music, but Jean is horrified and Lily flees.

Elsewhere, Amy attempts to reconcile with Avani, but Avani makes it clear she’s not interested before the pair later make amends. Zack seizes an opportunity and offers to train Barney which Teddy accepts.

Tuesday April 15

At No.25, Sonia reels as a truth comes to light, as Bianca attempts to support her sister. Bianca and Bex leave at the request of Sonia, and head to Harry’s Barn where Bianca divulges all to Jack.

Jack heads to No.25 to speak to Sonia, and offers her some words of advice, as she ponders on a decision that could change her life forever…

At No.41, Priya is full of praise for Avani, but Avani is up to her old tricks and secretly picks up weed from dealer Declan before heading to Amy’s party at No.29.

Avani quickly regrets her decision after a conversation with Amy, and bins the drugs, but things take a turn for the worse when Declan arrives at the party. Avani lies that Declan is her friend but later reveals the truth to Amy in the hope she’ll call Jack.

Jean is incredulous as she attempts to track down Lily, but she’s nowhere to be found. Jean scolds Lily after she returns home but soon relents when Lily breaks down and admits to her wrongdoings. Elsewhere, Zack continues to train Barney as the pair go for a run.

Wednesday April 16

At No.25, Sonia is torn as ponders whether it’s time to say goodbye to Walford, as Bianca calls upon Kat and Freddie for support.

Sonia goes in search of Stacey, but Jean and Harvey reveal she isn’t coping, and Sonia heads to No.31 to support her friend. Stacey and Sonia share a warm moment as they support each other in their time of need.

Ravi and Priya rile at Jack and ask him to escalate their complaint at the station. Jack encourages Priya to get Avani to make a formal complaint. Priya presents the idea to Avani, but she refuses and storms out…

Nicola returns from holiday and is shocked to learn that Zack is training Barney.

Elsewhere, Jean steps in to help Nigel after his dementia leads him to confuse the pharmacy for the old video shop he used to work, and takes him home to No.55. Phil covers to protect Nigel, but it’s clear Jean isn’t convinced.

Thursday April 17

Avani attempts to avoid Priya as she seeks solace in the laundrette. Yolande tries to get Avani to open up.

At Harry’s Barn, Nicola warns Zack to keep away from Barney, but he ignores her pleas.

Later, Nicola enlists the help of Tommy and Joel who antagonise Barney during his training session, but believing Zack is to blame,  Barney flees. Incredulous Zack rushes after Barney.

Elsewhere, Jean attempts to reach out to Nigel, but he continues to remain quiet about his dementia diagnosis and dismisses her concerns…
