Still reeling from the betrayal by Martin Lauron—who had deceived her under the false identity of Alan Laurand—Traci decides it’s time to leave Genoa City and start over elsewhere.

Descending the Abbott mansion stairs, memories of her romance with Martin hit her like a tidal wave. In the living room, she’s greeted by Sharon and Phyllis. Phyllis presses her with questions about when she realized Alan was actually Martin, but Sharon gently intervenes, urging kindness and understanding.
