Kevin Costner was spotted out in the company of a mystery woman in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 70-year-old actor and director was seen out for lunch with the woman following dating rumors linking him to Yellowstone superfan Jennifer Lopez.

The meet-up with the unidentified woman came 14 months after Costner finalized his divorce after a brutal court battle with his ex Christine Baumgartner.

He favored a muted, casual ensemble for his lunch outing, including a slim beige sweater that clung too tightly to his torso.

The Horizon star, who sported a closely trimmed salt-and-pepper goatee, paired his sweater with medium-gray jeans, light-gray athletic trainers and dark sunglasses.

His female friend wore a chunky black cardigan with high-waisted bellbottom jeans and platformed wedge sandals.

She wore her long brunette hair in thick waves that were draped down over her shoulders, and she carried a tan backpack in one hand.

Costner was the subject of dating rumors when he was spotted in December having a drink with Lopez at the iconic western apparel store Kemo Sabe in Aspen, Colorado, in December.

Despite the seemingly chaste meeting, fans of the two stars wondered if there could be something between them because Jennifer was previously revealed to be a massive fan of his since-concluded series Yellowstone.

Lopez’s ex-husband Ben Affleck even revealed in a March 2023 appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast with his BFF Matt Damon that he was ‘disturbed’ by the degree to which his then-wife was attached to the fan-favorite drama.

However, a source told DailyMail.com last month that Lopez was less interested in a Kevin Costner–type star and more desirous of someone in the mold of Yellowstone character Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser).

Ironically, Hauser was a longtime friend of Affleck’s who appeared with him in Dazed And Confused and his early career triumph Good Will Hunting.

Costner left Yellowstone before the release of the second half of its fifth and final season, reportedly due to issues with Sheridan and pay disagreements.

His character, patriarch John Dutton, was killed off in the premiere of season 5B, and the show wrapped up its run with a series finale last year that was excoriated by critics.

Kevin has dealt with heartbreak in recent years after his wife Christin Baumgartner filed for divorce in May of 2023.

Their tumultuous split, which saw them bickering over assets and a prenuptial agreement, was finalized in February of 2024.

Despite his appearance Monday with the mystery woman, a source told People in January that Costner was ‘not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now.’

Instead, he was focused on having fun with friends and family.

Costner is the father of seven children, including Annie, 41; Lily, 38; Joe, 37; Liam, 28; Cayden, 17; Hayes, 16; and Grace, 14.

He shares his three youngest children with his most recent ex-wife.

Last year, Kevin debunked rumors of a fling with the singer Jewel during an interview with Howard Stern after the two were spotted looking cozy in late 2023.
