In the last episode of Y&R, Mariah admitted to a drunken mistake, while Summer hurried to Italy to take Sally and Chelsea’s place.

Nate returns and meets up with Audra.
Audra is excited to see him. Amy is settled in and feeling good. Damian has also returned after Amy insisted he do so.
Nate asks Audra what she has been up to.

Audra enthusiastically talks about Vibrante and everything she has going on with it.
Nate suggests that Victor must be spending a lot of money on the company already. He is surprised to learn that Audra is still waiting for the funds to come through.
Audra explains that it’s just some red tape.

Nate knows that nothing stops Victor when he wants something.
They shift the conversation and agree to focus on each other.

Audra asks how he and Damian got along.
Nate shares that they had plenty of downtime to talk.
Audra wonders if he saw the good or bad side of Damian.
Nate replies that he experienced a bit of both. Losing his believed-to-be father was a significant blow for him.
Audra acknowledges that breaking down the walls people build is not easy. She is happy for Nate and Amy.
Nate finally feels like he can have his brother in his life.

Audra receives a notification of a missed call from Victor.
Nate pulls her in for a kiss as they gather their things.

Crimson Lights
Damian runs into Lily and updates her on Amy’s progress.
Lily prepares to leave.
Damian stops her and apologizes. He has had time to reflect and regrets being aggressive and overly defensive with her. Although Nate tricked him into coming to town, he realizes he is the one intruding and hopes they can move past it.

Lily accepts his apology, provided it is sincere.
Damian reminds her that he is a private and cautious person.
Lily is pleased to see him and Nate starting to bond. She asks what Dumas has planned in Genoa City.

Damian has considered it, but prying into his boss’s plans is complicated.
Lily believes there must be a way. She suggests he arrange a meeting with Dumas for her.
Damian doubts it will happen, but he will try. In exchange, he invites her to join him for drinks at the Jazz Lounge to learn more about Neil.

Abbott Mansion
Claire arrives and informs Kyle that Cole is back at the club, resting while the doctors await test results.
They feel bad about how sad Harrison is over Summer’s departure.
Claire is surprised to learn that Kyle has already told Summer about their plans to move in together.
Kyle admits he was nervous, but says Summer was quite accepting of the idea.

Kyle shows Claire something on his phone.
She asks what it is.
Kyle reveals it might be their new home, as he pulled up the listing for Adam’s old place.
Claire is not pleased that he started looking for a place without her.

Kyle attempts to smooth things over.
Claire points out that he included her more when searching for a place for him and Harrison.
Kyle apologizes.
Claire does not want him to back off, but she also does not want to rush things.

Kyle suggests that Adam’s place could help them overcome the obstacle that is Victor.
They begin discussing their wish list for their new home.
Claire will find a way to bring it up to Adam and check out the apartment.

Genoa City Athletic Club Dining Room
Sally jokes about fashion, expressing her hopes of making the annual COO best-dressed list.
Billy is confident this is the right decision.
Sally understands how much he hates letting Phyllis go.

They toast as Phyllis approaches.
Phyllis assumes they are toasting her firing and suggests Sally must be thrilled about it.
Billy pleads with her not to do this.

Sally interjects, telling Phyllis they are not celebrating her loss. While they may never like each other, she acknowledges that Phyllis had the best intentions.
Phyllis claims she still does.
Sally and Billy are confused by her statement.

Phyllis clarifies that it means she is not going away easily. She invites herself to join them since they are not celebrating her temporary departure from Abbott Communications.
Phyllis asks what they should toast to.
Billy suggests toasting her decision to walk away from Abbott Communications.

Phyllis argues that Abbott Communications is key to getting her life back on track.
Billy accuses her of not listening and reminds her that she is not on the payroll.
Phyllis insists she needs her expertise.

Billy reveals he has found someone and tells her he has hired Sally.
Phyllis confronts Sally, accusing her of being the reason Summer had to fly all the way to Milan. She suspects they have been planning this and asks Sally how she managed to pull it off.
Billy insists he did not betray her.

Phyllis questions how he is being a friend.
Sally defends Billy, stating he did not want to fire her.
Billy declares the conversation pointless and asks Phyllis to leave.
Phyllis refuses, calling out his pattern of hiring and firing girlfriends. She suggests Sally consult with Lily about how he betrayed her.

Sally asserts that this is a different situation.
Phyllis warns that Sally will fall into the same trap as the others, and she will have the last laugh.
Billy tells Phyllis she is not listening and that he is done.
Phyllis cannot believe that Sally did nothing to persuade him to fire her. She warns him that he will regret this decision and leaves.

Billy tries to revive the celebratory mood he and Sally were sharing.
Sally acknowledges that Phyllis unloaded a lot and was extremely upset. She notes that Phyllis’s threat to have the last laugh was serious.

Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Lily and Damian enjoy drinks while Lily points out Neil to him.
They share stories about missing their fathers, who have passed away. Both agree that time does not heal those deep wounds.

Crimson Lights
Phyllis places her order and sits alone, declaring, “This isn’t over by a long shot!”
