Former EastEnders star Luisa Bradshaw-White, renowned for her portrayal of Tina Carter, recently shared a heartfelt plea for support following a profound personal loss. The actress revealed that her beloved grandmother, affectionately known as “GG,” passed away at the age of 100. In a touching Instagram post, Luisa expressed her deep gratitude for the time spent with her grandmother, stating, “Helping her to transition from one world to the next has been the biggest honour of my life.” She also thanked the Hospice of St Francis for their exceptional care during this challenging period.

Luisa’s openness about her personal struggles extends beyond this recent loss. She has previously spoken candidly about her battles with bipolar disorder and an eating disorder, conditions that led to hospitalization. Through her journey, Luisa discovered the therapeutic benefits of Breathwork, a practice she credits with aiding her recovery. She now facilitates Breathwork sessions at festivals and retreats, aiming to support others facing similar challenges.

In addition to her advocacy for mental health, Luisa is a passionate proponent of adoption. She and her wife, Annette Yeo, adopted two daughters in 2005. Reflecting on the experience, Luisa shared, “I knew they were mine” upon seeing their photo for the first time. She describes the journey as “challenging, but so immensely rewarding,” emphasizing the profound love and connection within her family.  

Luisa’s recent plea serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of community and support during times of grief. Her continued efforts to raise awareness about mental health and adoption underscore her commitment to fostering understanding and compassion.
