In a viral video posted by TikTok user @lelaniivette, Sweeney’s The Housemaid co-star Brandon Sklenar could also be spotted in the crowd.

The clip showed Sweeney swaying her head back and forth while mouthing the words to the song, as she looked up at the It Ends With Us actor towering over her with a hoodie on his head.

The TikTok, which has been viewed over 1.5 million times since it was posted on Sunday, instantly sparked romance rumors between the actors, who are currently starring in the movie adaptation of The Housemaid alongside Amanda Seyfried.

However, an inside source has revealed to DailyMail.com that fans shouldn’t be rooting for Sweeney and Sklenar as a couple any time soon.

‘Sydney and Brandon were currently just having fun, letting off some steam and enjoying Stagecoach and hanging out as friends with others,’ the insider said.

In fact, the source emphasized that the viral video ‘doesn’t tell the whole story’ because Sklenar has been in a relationship with girlfriend Courtney Salviolo since 2020.

The 1923 actor met the personal trainer on the dating app Hinge amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Brandon and Sydney aren’t in a brewing relationship, nor were they brewing up a quick hookup,’ the source added.

‘Brandon is upset that this is the story that is out there and it doesn’t make him look very good, but he is adamant that he and Sydney are just friends.’

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Sweeney and Sklenar for comment.

This isn’t the first time Sweeney has sparked romance rumors with a co-star. She was famously linked to Powell, her on-screen lover in Anyone But You, while they were filming the Netflix rom-com in Australia in early 2023.

The romance speculation quickly gained traction after Powell quietly split with his model girlfriend Gigi Paris in April that year. Meanwhile, Sweeney was engaged at the time to her longtime partner Davino.

‘It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want,’ Sweeney told Variety in August 2023.

Now, it seems the Madame Web star is sticking by the same playbook and stirring up similar speculation with Sklenar ahead of The Housemaid’s opening theatrical release in December 2025.

In January, she and Sklenar stepped out to catch the Broadway show Cult of Love, prompting fans to whip up romance rumors about the pair.

Then in March, Sweeney shared an Instagram post with Sklenar showcasing their off-screen chemistry.

A clip showed Sweeney pulling a playful smile as Sklenar picked her up, flexing his strength, and hoisted her up onto one of his shoulders with ease.

The carousel post, which she captioned ‘as sweet as pie,’ also showed a photo of Sweeney and Sklenar having fun and playing games together on what appeared to be a date at the arcade.

Sweeney’s self-admitted ‘marketing strategy’ may bode well for her ex-fiancé Davino, who was most recently spotted with the White Lotus actress just last week outside their Florida home.

The former couple went their separate ways in January after seven years together, publicly confirming their split in March, as a source told People that Sweeney is ‘not ready to settle down’

Photos captured Sweeney holding her new puppy Sully in her arms while the 41-year-old entrepreneur walked alongside her.

However, there was no public display of affection and Sweeney did not sport her diamond engagement ring as her finger was still notably bare.

The former couple went their separate ways in January after seven years together, publicly confirming their split in March.

Following confirmation of their split, a source told People that Sweeney is ‘exactly where she wants to be’ after calling off their wedding.

‘Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.’

‘She’s not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off,’ they added.

‘They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.’

Sweeney and Davino began dating in 2018 when she was 20 and he was 34, and got engaged in 2022.
