In an exciting new venture, Emmerdale star Amy Walsh and her husband, former EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith, are stepping away from the soap scene to open a drama school in Leeds. The academy, an expansion of Amy’s sister Sally Sheppard Walsh’s London-based drama school, aims to provide speech and drama classes for children aged 7 to 16. Amy and Toby will serve as acting coaches, focusing on building confidence and self-expression rather than solely training future actors. As Toby explains, “It’s not about turning every child into an actor. We’re going to nurture that talent if it’s there and they want to dig a little deeper with it.
