🧔 Who Was Frank Clayton?

Frank was introduced to the soap in 2016 as the estranged father of Tracy Shankley (later Metcalfe). He was known for being charming but also deeply flawed — with a complicated history that included a prison sentence. Despite his past, Frank worked to rebuild his relationship with Tracy and eventually found love in the village with Megan Macey.

💔 What Happened to Frank?

Frank tragically died in 2019 in a devastating factory fire at Sharma & Sharma. The fire started due to faulty electrics and a cover-up by factory owners Jai and Laurel, but initially, Frank was wrongly blamed.

At the time of the fire, Frank had heroically rushed into the burning building to save his daughter Tracy and Megan’s daughter, Eliza. While he managed to get them out safely, he went back inside — and the building exploded, killing him instantly.

Frank’s death led to a lot of grief and drama in the village, especially for Tracy, who was heartbroken to lose her father just as they were rebuilding their bond.
